I agree, that NFC is much smoother for everyday transactions, especially when paying at shops, bars, restaurants etc. Also privacy wise much better as not everyone in store can immediately guess that you pay with BTC. But anyway also nothing wrong with having QR codes for online commerce and for people who don't have phones that support NFC yet. We can just have both, so I don't see a problem here.
