The whole situation around Luke Dash Jr. is highly suspect. He claims his PGP key was compromised, which isn't that farfetched since he was probably storing his private key on a PC running Gentoo as he's expressed he's a user of. The part that gets me is that he claims his cold storage was plundered as well. If he's in fact telling the truth, this is probably a case of an evil maid attack or theft by someone he knows.
Personally, I find the whole thing to be really suspect and it seems like the first boating accident of 2023. Thoughts?
I can't figure out what he's talking about. He seems to be calling a wallet on his computer a "cold wallet." I don't much about the man, but he's obviously a coding whiz and a quirky guy. My guess- boating accident

The whole “self custody is too hard” narrative coming out of this is a psyops attack. Something is really fishy here

It's quite annoying to see this line of thinking coming from various Twitter influencers. While we don't know many details, it seems like Luke wasn't using a typically recommended setup like HWW + passphrase / multisig.

If one of the most hardcore bitcoin devs is this incompetent to store that much btc, it doesn't inspire confidence

This is like "a boating accident", but 2023 style.

But why though? You are just calling for attention on those utxos for a very long time now.
