CLN is basically just a hobby project by blockstream, most people I've talked to who've tried using it have had a bad experience because nothing is ever taken to completion.
I have completely different experience. I run both. CLN is less resource hungry, supports pruned Bitcoin nodes, is more easy extendable via plugins.
