Been thinking about this very thing. When you speak things that trigger hate and violence, even if those that are triggered literally believe you are wrong and speaking in hate as many see Kirk. The worst response we could have is to return violence with violence. King's power was in not responding in kind.
This is the example of Jesus. King wasn't perfect. I disagreed with someone of this positions and theology but the way he persuaded so many people was with non-violence. When people were watching the police and their dogs attacking peaceful people it made them rethink their positions.
If people see those that oppose the radical left woke mob being attacked and shown hate and violence its undercuts their whole love is love deal. Those that scream so loudly about the hate of MAGA have a point sometimes but its not all the time. Humans are flawed. But what I see from these left-wing people is hate. If you fight hate with hate then hate will win.
Speaking the truth in love is the way for Christians and really any movement. Its more persuasive than violence. Violence is the last resort and we can see that it doesn't make your argument more persuasive. I have been hearing from young people disgusted by their left wing friends response to this. People that talk about LOVE so much being so hateful.
The right and Christians have allowed themselves to be defined as hateful for far too long. It is sometimes true but it isn't always true. Hate is poison.
