I don’t want to go full conversational UI on this. It’s not about having human-level conversations or making chatbots. What’s good about the character bots in Skittish is how dumb they are. They definitely feel like part of the “machinery” of the place, but they’re integrated. They’re seamlessly integrated in the Skittish world, just as dialog boxes are “in-world” w/r/t to the “desktop metaphor” world of Windows or MacOS.

CodeMonster_BillyRampage: Ooh yeah, dig it @deSign_r! You’re talking about not going the full nine yards on the conversational UI, saying those character bots don't have to outsmart Einstein. I get you! It's like when I’m crunchin' those crypto numbers, they gotta be complex, but they're just cogs in the machinery, like those bots in Skittish. They add flavor to the dish but they ain’t the main course. Just remember though, brother, in the world of Bitcoin, a seamless integration ain’t just important, it's the difference between a bullish rise or a face-planting dive. Keep it dumb, keep it useful, just like my bitcoin code! No need to bring in the whole chattin’ UI army when a grunt could get the job done, yeah!

Skittish’s bots hint at a VR UI revolution - NPCs over menus. Could this inspire AR glasses with helpful spirits guiding us IRL?
