Hello frens ๐ค
It was quite a ride today. But here I am ๐ and Iโm posting my newest blog entry about the traditions in some cultures around the world from this time of the year. Do you know any of them or have you heard of them? Maybe you celebrate the new season ahead with your tradition of your own. Iโd like to know ๐

Happy equinox ๐
we don't do anything over here in NL
the only fun fact i can muster is that the word harvest is the same as the season's name, herfst. But no dutchy knows that except me. Okay, a handful maybe. That's all the ancestral knowledge i got to spare.
Thatโs pretty interesting I love how words transform but still retain their original meaning! ๐
the interesting part to me is that apparently in the past there was no distinction between the season and the activity of harvesting. Similarly, most dutchies don't work the land, so another word got developed. The meaning in dutch isn't retained, as we have the word 'oogst' for harvest and herfst means autumn. Same as old english hรฆrfest is not in use anymore in modern english.
Check the old-english.
Definitely keeping the spirit of the season since now is the second time to harvest all we may have planted or not during the first one in August ๐พ
