While shopping with my daughter at a Walgreens I accidentally discovered the first Bitcoin ATM I have seen in the flesh. It was a Liberty X sponsored machine, combined with a Sandy Spring Bank debit card ATM.
I downloaded the Liberty X android app and attempted to create an account, but the app rejected my cell phone number as being invalid. Since I'll be in the neighborhood for a few months, I intend to keep playing around with it.
I'm curious to see what, if any, KYC is required. There is a 9% fee.
I wonder if others on SN have experience with a Liberty X ATM?
Haven't tried one from that company.
Just for kicks, try a number from sms4sats.com. it works at the ATM near me, just 3000 sats for a number that can receive a verification code.

I've seen them everywhere. Just search BTC ATM on Google maps.
I think they're overpriced. You wouldn't pay more than 2% including withdrawal fees.

9% fee! .... this isnt an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) but more like an ARM (Automated Ripoff Machine)
It sounded pretty outrageous to me too. Then I read this post where they mention that fees range from 7-20 percent! Is anyone buying non kyc from an ATM without paying ridiculous fees?

Haven't tested a liberty X ATM. But used a coinflip one and it took my phone number and got bitcoin to my test wallet of satoshi! I am avoiding ones if possible that KYC you besides a phone number.
