The teacher training college in my country has developed a chatbot to help students spice up their composition.
Even though research studies have shown that the indiscriminate use of ChatGPT has led to the deterioration of thinking skills among frequent users, I feel compelled to give it a go because my entire department has embarked on this AI endeavour. I didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb by not conforming to my new workplace culture. Hence, here’s me generating the chatbot for my charges.
The two prompts I typed in my lesson to help them use the chatbot judiciously:
-
Type the introduction that you wrote yesterday in response to "Perseverance" on the chatbot. Prompt: Proofread my introduction. Bold your suggested changes. ELI5 why you made those changes.
-
Type your story idea on Perseverance. Your idea should have five parts: Intro, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action and Ending. Ask TeacherGAIA the question below. Prompt: Does my story idea answer these four questions adequately? 1) Who were involved? 2) What caused the situation? 3) What happened after that? 4) How did it all end? Suggest and bold ideas for improvement. ELI5 why you made your suggested edits.
