Okay, not for buying a house, or quarterly settlements between mega-corporations (if it happens via Bitcoin).
But for buying a SIM card on Bittrefill or a plane ticket?
I know Satoshis would mean a lot of zeroes following the figure, but is not it easier than parsing a few zeroes after a decimal before you reach the first significant digit?
As in, which one is easier on your eyes and brains? 0.00003745 BTC or 3,745 Sats? Or, even .02 BTC or 2 million Sats?
I for, one, commend Stacker news for keeping Sats as the UoA, which, I feel, any entity quoting Bitcoin amounts should follow.
If needed, I am happy with the idea of mBTC (milli Bitcoins) too, but not BTC, for god's sake.
Bonus point, it can also make us humble, as amounts quoted in Satoshi would make the transaction look like denominated in Zimbabwe dollar or such currencies!
Sats are the standard. How long until people will use it as UoA? That depends how long people are willing to be pegged to dollar. It's all about changing the mentality and use exclusively bitcoin. Bitrefill is a good service but that doesn't mean you live in a bitcoin standard, is still pegged to fiat.
STOP using fiat and most importantly stop borrowing fiat. Every fucking time you request more fiat you are creating more and support it. Every fucking time you are "charging" a visa card by selling your sats, you are creating more fiat. You are part of the problem not fixing it.

Bullshit. Is never. Because people are too stupid for bitcoin and love to use fiat.
Bitcoin is only for the brave not for the weak.

Most people are weak. Humans only have real strength when working in groups. This is why most people wear the yoke of the Jewish fiat debt slavery bankers cartel that owns their governments. #1242866 #1241718

I am not referring to the Bitcoin adoption speed. I can assume that any financial entity or website that quotes any price in Bitcoin has already adopted Bitcoin in principle.
What I am saying is merely a user interface thing that seems common sense to me. Change the unit to something a bit more interpretable and easier to read (than as a fraction of a whole BTC).

Yes, at least. This is a very long game we're playing here and it's possible the initial adopters of this tool never get to see its full benefits.

Totally agree, Sats are way easier to read and mentally process for small purchases like a SIM card or coffee. 3,745 Sats feels more intuitive than 0.00003745 BTC, those decimals are a nightmare! Plus, using Sats makes Bitcoin feel more like "real money" for everyday stuff, not some abstract crypto thing.
