It failed miserably.
We still need an effective freelancing platform that pays people in sats.
Somebody get this rolling.
We will likely roll out a bounty feature next week. It's not meant to replace microlancer but should help some.

The problem of microlancer is a human one, not a technical one.
Why don’t people make bounties? There is a lack of trust that there are good workers to fill them.
So incentivize good freelancers to make profile pages on microlancer. People with jobs see that there are skilled freelancers available on the network and are more incentivized to open bounties there.
This is just one small example to show that there are solutions. I really need a job btw. Is anyone hiring? lol

This is a good point.

What kind of job?

I was most recently a Product Manager, but I have also been in implementation, customer success, and product marketing / communications. Ultimately I just enjoy solving problems. Roadmaps, feature requests, customer relationships etc

@grayruby, what are your critiques of Microlancer?
I would hate for someone to build something new just to have the same issues.

My first reaction was well.
Maybe what happened there is what happens when you combine humans with a "mouse trap" like that one (microlancer).
We do far better as a community to fix what's already there than to start over every time the project hits this particular roadblock or filter.

It's not necessarily the platform itself. Seems ok.
But no one is posting anything anymore and even when they did there was no actual freelance jobs just micro task bullshit and I think that turns people off from using it. Maybe separating microtasks from actual freelance gigs is a good start and definitely need some promotion to bitcoin companies, builders, media creators would be good.
Right now I would be more likely to use stacker news or twitter to offer a freelance gig than microlancer.
Maybe it is as simple as being an addition to the jobs page here on Stacker or on Bitconer Jobs vs a standalone site at this time.

I can relate. We can't waste our rime just signing up to sites or downloading apps

It's nice, sadly it gets no update. It looks and feels like it's in early alpha. Huge potential but nothing is done.
