in case it's not obvious from my earlier posts, I was conscripted to the IDF in 2010 and told more than once after talking too much "you have to write a book"
guess what, I'm gonna die unpublished because I didn't do anything interesting; however, that's not interesting, either. most people die unpublished!
help me write something worth selling by voting, or maybe comment. the chances of votes alone creating any interesting literature are quite low.

You should write non fiction and fiction if you so choose. Just being a witness probably gave you many experiences others will find interesting, even if you doubt it.

I failed approval for any security clearance worth violating early on; much later, when it was basically "sign the paper and you're golden", I got approved for the same security clearance that any officer has, with the light condition of one decade travel restriction to high-risk nations [e.g. Afghanistan];
why am I telling you this? because, honestly, I didn't witness anything interesting. my service was so boring I took to drink and MIT OCW.

You can write about the leader of the richest country in africa who founded the african union. Who build the great man made river, eighth wonder of the World. And how the revolution destroyed everything and eat its children. This western initiated terror and war against lybia started the biggest migration in history of mankind.

it's fascinating although I'm almost completely ignorant of it. I've never been southwest of the line drawn between Taba [Egyptian vacation spot close to Israeli Eilat and Jordanian Amman] and Valetta [capital of Malta]
... so I'm not saying the topic is off-limits; however my writing would either be complete fabrication, or involve much more research than creativity. I'm not claiming to be illiterate [not this time, at least!] although investigation alone does not the journalist make, and this isn't ~news either...

Write something you like. The first person that should like the writing is...you. Let the public choose if the story is interesting or not. You were witnessing other countries, that's a leverage 98% of the world doesn't have, maybe you don't appreciate because that's your normal day. However, most people didn't hear shit about Arab Spring et al.
Write sir, write for you, let your book sees the light.
