Thank goodness for bitcoin, when you see how awfully misplaced capital is due to our system, you can only feel like there is no way of solving it other than rejecting it and starting over

I wish I thought you were wrong about that, but the current system has such a badly distortionary network of perverse incentives that it's hard to see a way to transition smoothly to something better.
