If the US falls, every domino goes down with it.
reply
The US has already fallen.
Passports are required. Federal Reserve Notes are required. KYC is required for everything. Property and income taxes are required.
There are no freedoms in the US anymore.

Passports are required
Not a serious argument unless you own land on an international border and your front door is wide open to strangers
Federal Reserve Notes are required
Only in court for settling a debt
KYC is required for everything
No it isn't
Property tax
You have the option of providing for your own defense, let me know how that works out
Otherwise, recent regime change, at least 2 of the most economically important states are already shifting the Overton window on eliminating them
Income taxes
Recent regime change again, IRS effectively shut down, government being funded through consumption taxes
You can keep what you produce without tribute, access to markets outside your reach however is a toll road.
Interesting you didn't mention a PlanB, so my point stands.

Yes, your point stands. And I agree with all your points.
The US may be the last beacon of hope.
But, it's shocking to me how many people in the US are completely clueless as to how far the US has fallen. How many cheer the dollar as a patriotic thing. How many think KYC is completely normal and innocent.

I’m not sure how Bukele’s reign will go, and they’ve backpedaled, but El Salvador still seems like somewhere I might try to be.
The first woman I had romantic feelings for was Salvadoran, so it also has a kind of distant familiarity to me.

Salvador was rad when I visited last year. I hope to return and spend dedicated time around Bérlin this winter.
its my sidepiece plan, but I don't want to leave the US unless I absolutely must.. this is my home, I'm here for improving it.
reply
I've already moved one, from 1 US state to another. It was a huge improvement, but I still would like to be nimble, and prepared for another move if necessary.
I'm looking forward to hearing what people say. And I'd like to visit El Salvador at some point.
