Considering all the injuries they played a great game. Its wild actually.
Thing is... who was picking them as a favorite this year... waiting... I didn't hear anyone saying this. We really don't know how good many of these players are because we haven't seen much of them. Its great for them, giving them exposure and a chance to play. As some of the guys come back this experience for the deeper guys on the depth chart will make the team that much better.
I don't think their season is over... that's just silly. But Warner leaves a massive hole that I don't see anyone filling. But then again.. most teams don't have a Warner either. He's special. They can still win.
I predicted they'd go 15-2

That’s not going to happen but why not 12-5.
To be fair no one expected the Jags, Colts, Giants or Seahawks to be any good and I think we both assumed Stafford’s back would be a problem all year.

The injuries have been worse than I expected

Haha yeah. I am not sure how they can be more hurt than last year but it’s pretty close.

They aren't there in total games missed yet, but they must be on pace for worse quality adjusted injuries.

Still 2/3 of a season to go. They can do it!

They can still win but probably not beat elite teams. I expect Stafford will carve them up in week 10 and the Colts will be really difficult the way that offense is playing (if the bubble hasn't burst by then). Otherwise they should be in every game until the playoffs. If they make the playoffs (still a good chance), they better score a lot of points.
My only concern about being so heavily reliant on offense is the OLine is not very good. Lions did that down the stretch last year when almost their entire starting defense was out but they had probably the second best OLine in the league. They could run at will, control the time of possession to keep their D off the field and give Goff a clean pocket. I don't see the 49ers OLine duplicating that.
Shanahan, Saleh, Purdy and CMC are going to have to work some magic.

I would argue he is the best non QB in the league but his position isn't as premium as DE or LT or WR.

It's going to be a fun remainder of the season regardless. NFC West is way better than I expected. I figured the Rams would be good but am surprised Stafford's back has held up. I figured the Seahawks D would be good but thought Darnold with one weapon behind a mediocre OLine would be a disaster but they have been pretty darn good offensively. Cardinals you really don't know what you are going to get week to week.
