This is currently ongoing but something of note is that according to Powell researchers have found effects on hiring from AI for entry-level people and coders. This kinda does track but I wonder if this could also be part of the whole everyone from X,Y,Z departments were fired for AI and these are the departments that have not yet been rehired by companies.
With any sort of innovation like this lower hanging fruit like the entry-level jobs and things AI is supposed to be the "best" in like coding does make the most sense. However, it will be interesting to see if this stays true or if there are new entry-level and coder adjacent jobs that are created by this. We have seen this happen previously with huge innovations so I feel like we will see it happen again.

If you look at the topmost heatmap at #1237966, you'll see a pattern emerging for clerical support workers being exposed to GenAI (middle column). Note that these are exposure points, not so much "AI takes the job", but impact ought to be felt.
If you get rid of the bureaucracy, most people affected will be in this particular section of the labor market?
