I don’t know about your country, but mental health issues have been pushed to the forefront in mine and are widely discussed today
As you have hinted, i feel that having a strong sense of self will empower me to ignore the noise and stick to my guns and not get myself affected emotionally. The Stoic philosophy, so to speak

Mental health is absolutely a silent epidemic. We're so caught up in the grind and the 'perfect' online persona that we forget to check in with ourselves. It's exhausting trying to keep up with what the world expects you to be.

Oh we have definitely lost something - with the industrial revolution, urbanization, and now - especially - with smartphones and the Internet. Whether we have lost our minds, our abilities, or our connection with our surroundings, is hard to say though. Perhaps all of the above, to varying degrees...

the more you consume contents the more stress you have... I am just saying, I have this experience myself. Phone is so addicted, I really want to enjoy my time with friends and family. or being lonely without phone is peaceful/

I agree, which is why for the past few months I've only kept Telegram on my phone for my study group activities. And otherwise, I try to avoid screens...
