I've been looking at Predyx for some time. I'm not into gambling, but I get excited around the game theory of prediction markets (like @ek I think). I also like them because it's one of those things that would be impossible to pull in fiat land but can be easily done now that we have Bitcoin.

Predyx sounds nice but I generally only see boring sports betting and financial markets that would be better done in a proper exchange. But today I was surprised to come across a genuinely original one:

Bisq total volume for October 2025 above 25 million USD

I've used Bisq for a long time and I'm a great fan of the project. I found this bet funny because it's the first time I see some kind of "derivative" about what happens within the Bisq market outside of it.

Now I'm sitting here, wondering what kind of behaviours could actually get triggered on the Bisq market itself in the unlikely event this market would pick up enough volume...

A whale can boost Bisq volume by wash trading.

reply

But trading in Bisq comes with a fee... so it doesn't come for free

reply

Sure. But if you bet millions, you can spend thousands on the fees to make sure you win.

reply

You know you can make your own markets. If they're interesting enough, you can make some sats off the fees.

I'd love to see what you think are original topics for prediction markets.

reply

You can create your own markets on Predyx now so feel free to make markets for anything you like.

I might make one about Darth and his absolute hatred of me and at this point apparently a ton of the Bitcoin community. One of his most recent and honestly hilarious posts to me is

At least he replies to you. He has completely ghosted me.

DC does not yet realise that living completely without a government is rather difficult and most humans are not suicidal or insane enough to want to.

Just leave him to live alone in his citadel of beer cans, dirt and sacks for a few years and he will come around...

IT'S A SCAM. They are playing with people's mind.

you see these two sharks paid by predyx how they are trying to catch you in their net?

I don't hate them. I only point out what others do not want to see. A simple warning. Now go back to licking politicians boots.
