nostr is still really early and weird. There are parts that are ok works fine, parts like NWC and nostr-market that are really innovations but there are still many bad parts that doesn't work well.

I know that people are doing efforts to fix them, but not all. On the clients part the situation is kind of disastrous. Almost none of the clients works fine. The long form ones, I don't even want to talk about.

Our effort is to make Nostr better. It takes time. But all of us do it day by day. Freedom is so important there.

I understand that. I use nostr from day 1. In fact fiatjaf consult me in private about nostr idea long before was even coded.

What I do not understand is that all clients in the beginning were working pretty well, quite fast. But today all of them are clunky. Maybe were added do many features that made them slow idk, but the experience is really bad.

Look at SN (I know is not the same thing) how nice is working, fast and simple. Functionality before beauty and briggi briggi

Yep, to be honest, I joined Nostr one year ago. So idk the situation it had in the very first days of it. I think with the features, the clients have been getting slow a bit. But in the future I hope all the troubles will be solved by devs step by step. It needs the time. :-)

just an example:

I open Primal, on desktop browser.

if I use it with a VPN, almost nothing works, you click buttons until you get crazy and nothing responds.
if I disable VPN, some works, some don't, notes are not loading, profiles are in endless loop loading, If I try to zap, nothing works, all failed payments (even that I know that my wallet is OK).

I open Yahihonne, on desktop broswer again because I do not like to use mobile for nostr, mobile is strictly for calling my wife for emergencies and use it with BTC. Nothing else.

if I use it with VPN - NOTHING works properly, always error 500 server error
If I use it without VPN - sometimes works, or is loading for ages, looks like is loaded with shit tons of crap code that makes browsing it a terrible experience.
not talking also about annoying constant approval from browser extension to confirm wallet etc.
the feed is totally very confusing mixing my own posts with others that sometimes you don't even know what you post or replied, also full of other "recommendations" even that you don't want them are pushed into your guts

I (tried) t open Coracle, that was really nice before and I use it a lot

Terrible experience.

LOL today I had the curiosity to open Primal in Firefox.

FFS ! All the videos started to play in my headphones ! Not just one, all of them! WTF is this crap?!
