Hi Stackers, I had a little play with @justin_shocknet 's ShockWallet.
Originally when I tried it out after Justin's post, I uninstalled the app for disaster recovery and reinstalled, and unfortunately the bootstrapped node was gone! I only had 42 sats on it so no biggy.
So I've been looking at it on and off since yesterday and today I decided to do a post about it on here, whereby I'd take some screenshot's and make a proper test out of it.
I was pleasantly surprised that Justin has been busy tinkering with the code under the hood.
So I force stopped and uninstalled the wallet from previous uses, and when you reinstall, you're asked to either login using your identity or sign up. I used my Rawdog Nsec because that's how I roll
Once logged in, I was pleased to see that my bootstrapped node is there! Not my original one but Justin has obviously fixed the bug since then, so you can see the wallet where before it was blank and you'd need to use the ➕️ button to add a node.
So then I again killed the app uninstalled and reinstalled and boom the node was still there and more importantly the bc onchain addresses were still the same and it didn't generate a new onchain address, also the Ln address was also the same
So then came the real test! Load some sats onto the wallet using the Ln address, uninstall and reinstall!
And boom 💥 yes 🎯 sats still there
Well done Justin, I love the idea of meshing Nostr and Lightning.
