Welcome back stacker to our little corner to discuss creative projects and check on what ideas we are aiming to create, regardless of your project being personal, professional, physical, digital, or even simply an idea to brainstorm together.
If you have any creative projects or ideas that you have been working on or want to eventually work on... This is a place for you to share it and discuss, gather initial feedback and feel more energetic on bringing it to the next level.
Thanks @Kontext @justin_shocknet @DarthCoin @beyond_turbulence or joining and sharing your ideas in the previous edition. How are you all doing with your projects? Any update?
₿e Creative, have Fun!
In general I've been in more of a consumption mode rather than full-on creative mode. But I guess you need some input to generate the output, eh?
DONE:
  • Finalized the design for the Bitcoin Wall Calendar (#1245319) and ordered proof copies (although to my horror I realized that the publishing company's design tool doesn't have a simple US/EU switch for which day of the week is the first... I submitted a support ticket, hopefully I'll be able to switch it easily without having to do the EU version manually from scratch)
  • Been contacting a bunch of companies to get more offers up on Satoshee (#784376)
  • Keeping up consistency in practicing handstands / training for handstand pushups
  • Started recording the audiobook version of "A Stoic Resurrection" (#1074789)
  • Did a rap practice sesh after no musical experiments at all for a month or so
  • Finalized a bigger cleanup of my room
  • Some smaller fixes done on both Satoshee and Kontext Store of Value
  • Posted some stuff from my journal: #1268314
CONSUMED:
  • Finished “The Basic Works of Cicero” by Moses Hadas (read it for almost a year... the main reason being: the book was generally very underwhelming. If you're deep into the weeds of Roman history then maybe it's of interest, but to me the highlight of the book was chapter one: On Moral Duties (book 1) - which was excellent)
  • Been re-watching Twin Peaks in its totality... already at S03E08
  • This wonderful and inspiring Thomas Sowell interview
NEXT:
  • Photoshoot of A Stoic Resurrection
  • Finalize affiliate and resale opportunities for Satoshee and Kontext Store of Value
  • Finalize the Wallpaper Calendar version of the Bitcoin Wall Calendar
  • Continue adding products to Kontext Store
  • Continue finding partners for Satoshee
  • Continue recording A Stoic Resurrection
  • Go through some of the junk I have lying around and figure out what to keep, what to sell, what to throw away
  • Maybe post an older essay or something, or some photos, IDK. I have too much material sitting idly 🤠

Those wedding planner apps should offer the happy couple the opportunity to, after it all, to buy an address book, maybe gorgeously leather bound and “handwritten”, with all of the names of their beloved friends and family and their addresses and telephone numbers that they’ve so diligently collected to do the wedding invites.
reply
Wedding is a big project itself, for the long run. Congratulations! An address book is something that ideally one should have and maintain for life. What's the reason to create one for a wedding? Why leather-bound and “handwritten”?

And then sell that data to marketers for a bit extra to start the marriage with haha

i have been planning to post a series about parasitic activity on mankind (#1266468); however, i have been not as concerned about rolling out the content, as about participation, cross-posting it to nostr, and people investigating this topic further;
i have installed the nos2x extension, but it does not appear to work! i am using brave; i have the nostr login to stacker.news enabled thru the nos2x etension; @ek @k00b how do i make sure the content gets cross-posted? thank u

Look forward to hearing more about the process on the writings' series. Your drop in HealthAndFitness was a big pill too shallow. I know you see it related but not may can grasp the relation of your discourse with health and fitness, and even if they do, not sure the audience there is willing to read your observations.
Creating content nowadays is not the issue, many can do. If you aim to be heard and your message to be read and assimilated, the release and publishing should be planned a bit more strategically, I guess. Just my personal observation.

lol, i absolutely agree with ur feebdack; here i am, casually interacting with stackers, and suddenly drop a bomb from the outer edge!
Mark Passio, who is my main educator (educere: to bring out, lead forth) on the topic of consciousness, ran his podcast for like 15 years, patiently unpacking the occult knowledge for people... around episode 300 he rage-quit;
my approach is much more disorganized, i expect people to do some thinking on their own in order to fill-in the gaps; i think what i have to aim for is consistency, and strategically spreading the awareness among multiple territories;
humanity is actually running out of time faster than before ))) the spirit of creation will live on forever, but the conditions rapidly deteriorate;

G'luck with that... Having expectation is not a good thing from my perspective. I like your approach, I feel it is something you are doing more for yourself, consolidating thoughts in one place.
Look forward to next one.

perhaps i will lower my expectations and focus on consistently providing gnarly insightful entertainment for the minds; once there is appetite for more information, people will start contributing;
the Matrix was a powerful allegory, but i don't see Matrix festivals and the fandom is not as large as for the Lord of The Rings or Star Wars for example; mind-control is accomplished thru repetition; exit from under mind-control is also thru repetition;

people will start contributing
How do you expect people contributing?

dude, this topic covers the entire spectrum of human existence; i only got 2 hands, and refuse to use AI for projecting my thots into the cyberspace; name a territory, and i'll explain what the war on parasites has to do with it;
i can't wait to post an episode on the AI territory by the way;

I'll respond myself: contributing = comments on your posts.
i only got 2 hands, and refuse to use AI for projecting my thots into the cyberspace
That's admirable, am reading you. I bet you are diving to the source. From my perspective: there's no light without darkness.
name a territory, and i'll explain
If I need to name one, I'll obviously name ~Design territory. How you'd relate the topic with it?

there's a checkbox in the post options, you have to select it.
if it's already selected, you may not read from the default relays so you'll want to configure additional relays in your settings.
reply
the cross-posting still does not work, i tried adding 4 relays of nostriches that i follow...

also sorry about how wonky our crossposting support is. it's been neglected since it was introduced, but it should still work at the very least
reply
once this feature is popular enough, there shud be some sort of sats fee in order to cross-post it quickly and thru the official stacker.news identifiers!

Nothing much new since previous editions on my end from a design standpoint, still grinding on some pub stuff to get the wizard deployed via s9 appliances.
Last week stood a POC for NymRank but need to work with Straycat a bit to get it dialed in, still some results not as expected so I don't want to go live with it yet... but first application of it will be a custom (premium) Lightning Address flow in ShockWallet which I need to wireframe.
Should push a bug fix release of wallet later today after some testing, some acute UI/UX fixes included.
I tend to work on what i'm inspired to on any given day which explains a lot of the circular development. Currently feeling like the more people set up a Pub the more I want to have a nostr/ecommerce app that takes advantage of CLINK. It's a pretty sad state of affairs with Nostr apps generally and the fact that BTCPay to an external platform is the best merchants can do right now.
reply
Well at least we have BTCpay, is not easy, nor idea for the majority but at least is something to start with. Not a easy start, but the best sovereign solution for now. I really look forward to seeing LN.pub in the S9 app store. I got inspired too last week...
more to come.
