Hi Stackers!
Ten years ago, some of you might remember my little project: Bitcoin Fax. It was (and still is) a fun experiment in mixing the ancient tech of fax machines with Bitcoin.
Now, I'm back to experiment with an even older technology: the postcard.
So what is it?
Take a photo during your travels and send a real, physical postcard to your loved ones anywhere in the world.
No stamp hunting needed! Just come armed with a photo and some sats on the Lightning Network.
Please let me know what you think :)

I like it!
Just wondering about sending internationally. Is it the same price as sending domestic?

Same price globally :)

Achievement unlocked. This post got more sats than my post about Bitcoin Fax :)

I like this.
But the special thing about a post card is that the content was handwritten. A few lines to let someone know "I thought about you, got a pen, and wrote this message to let you know that... well... I thought about you." Anything handwritten today elevates what it means to receive that message.
So, does your service preserve the handwriting at a good enough resolution so it looks authentic?

Yes, this is super good point.
Currently, not offering any 'handwritten' fonts, but it is totally doable.
After interviewing a number of people about postcards, it was really 50/50. Some people really care about the handwritten effect, the other care about the content, i.e. the photo and the words.

Fair point. If you can find a way to include handwritten content, scanned in some way with little friction, that would be amazing.
