In one sentence explain your life's story.

Inspired by @billytheked's deleted post[1].

  1. they titled a post "in one sentence explain" which i thought was a metaprompt so I prompted "your life story."

I am hoping to trick myself into greatness with near-constant delusions of grandeur.

Files that appear in lost+found are typically files that were already unlinked (i.e. their name had been erased) but still opened by some process (so the data wasn't erased yet) when the system halted suddenly (kernel panic or power failure). If that's all that happened, these files were slated for deletion anyway, you don't need to care about them.

If we lost you then can someone mklost+found to get you back?

After peaking at sixteen by rediscovering some absurdly profound intuitive overinterpretation[1] of the most abstruse theoretical principle[2] while feeling sorry for myself after sleeping through my morning alarm enough times to not even bother showing up for AP Physics[3], I began deliberately cultivating the habit of wasting neither energy on perfecting skills beyond practicality, nor resources on causes beyond salvation.

  1. the best intuitive description of anything close to it was published about a decade before my gloomy revelations, in Ted Chiang's infamous Story of Your Life

  2. there's aready the predictably encyclopedic article about the practical mathematical technique for attacking the various forms this principle takes in different physical theories, although it doesn't touch upon any of the metaphysics that crystallise the intuition.

  3. I ended up dropping the course, probably for the best; studying physics in the university, after semesters of calculus, also at the university, was still eventually possible.
