Anyone else not get the daily rewards?

you were right.

territory revenue and rewards have been deadlocking with each other more than usual lately. this is fixed in my refactor.

reply

Your obsession with rewards is disturbing... We should remove them (as I always said).

reply

I’m reporting a bug, dude. You really think a thousand sats matter to me? lmao

reply

As I said in a previous saloon post: the rewards system is flawed. But people as usual do not pay attention to what I say on SN and they call me troll.

reply

It’s definitely not a perfect system. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I’d say if the daily rewards go away, SN’s gonna be hanging off a cliff. If they wanna end daily rewards, fine, just end them. But if they’re supposed to exist, not paying them is a lack of commitment. I’m pretty sure it’s a bug, not a feature! hahaha

reply

it's a feature not a bug hahahaha

Welcome!

From your bio:

broke high schooler trying to pay their phone bills. zap to help :)

I recommend not asking to get zapped. That adds no value and at least makes me personally not want to zap you.

Write something that you think has value and we will zap you if we agree.

Sí,la represión y la depresión van de la mano. Solo hayando una forma de desahogarme en está oscuridad maldita

i really think that numbers in the Bitcoin vs Fiat price might reflect the battle of the numbers in space and time;

for example: 9,000 was a familiar memetic number 21,000 was a cool peak 69420 held in there for a bit thanks to Twitter 100,000 is a round psychological number, and now 111,111 which i have been staring at for a while

all is number, it is reflected in the financial, and the mathematical, political, and everything else;

i wonder at what cosmic number this battle finally ends, when all is repriced into sats... @beyond_turbulence what do u say to this observation?

reply

I love more Bitcoin when was at 20 cuckbucks... mostly for the fun and resilience of "let's fuck the banks". Almost nobody cared those times about price... Nowadays is more like...

reply

i can see the way of the false prophets ("fake profits"): they are making people focus on the quantitative value of bitcoin; however, one shud pay attention to the numerical value of the sats (i am referring to numerology, gematria, etc.);

for example, i like to zap certain numerical values to express a value beyond the quantity of sats; when pricing my products, i likewise attempt to find a price combination (usually negotiable) that reflects a symbolic sats price as well as the quantitative market conditions;

@cryotosensei

Here's one for your students.

why do some English nouns not need a article? For example,

  • I'm going to the school now.
  • I go to the church on Sundays

But for similar nouns we need it:

  • I am going to the gym now.
  • I go to the temple on Fridays.

Is it just because English is stupid??

reply

Erm not proud of admitting this, but on days when I am exhausted and exasperated with the kids, this is what I typically say:

when I was your age, my teacher asked me to memorise this, and now it’s your turn. And next time, you will get your children to memorise too!

the sooner you accept this fact, the happier you will be

reply

I noticed Elon Musk likes to drop unnecessary articles, and it's still eminently understandable.

reply

I think that's the answer to most questions about English and also why English is so cool.

reply

came here to say this, but probably not as eloquently.

Luke's line of reasoning here us really troubling to me: the reliability of all spending paths is as close to sacred as Bitcoin gets. If we start voiding spending paths that were previously viable, how are users going to rely on their coins long term? His (and the other people dismissing the confiscatory aspects of this fork proposal) cavalier attitude is a huge problem. Bitcoin should do it's best to never confiscate or even freeze coins that were once spendable.

reply

So where are we at in terms of activation now? Is it active yet? Are we all going to be wankers soon?

reply

source

Chris exhibits similar attitudes. If you are serious about Bitcoin as money, you need to be extremely careful that you don't arbitrarily violate people's ability to use it as money.

Worst case scenario funds are frozen for a year

Even this is a serious breach of bitcoin's promise. I am having trouble with the flippant attitude here. Bitcoin doesn't freeze people's money!

reply

I haven't followed all of this, but that definitely jumps out as an enormous red flag.

Yesterday's comment

I wonder when SN will really be what they pretend to do with "non-custodial" wallet thing.

All those custodial apps in this image should NOT be in this wallets attach section of SN. You are only confusing noobs with this crap of "SN is using non-custodial wallet".

Make it simple:

  • attach ONLY your own node. Make those users to really be self-custodial, not just pass the dead cat to others.
  • or just use SN cowboy credits. CCs are just fine for using SN.

I consider all this scheme with "connect your wallet" a scam, because SN still have a flaw in the rewards system. So all this story with "we do not want to be money transmitters" fall apart... because of that flaw you are still transmitting.

I didn't want to make a full meta post about this because I don't want to stir the shit too much. Is just FYI for SN devs to think about.

Happiness Journal 29/10/25

Sneaked off work today to have a late lunch with a friend at Yishun Park Hawker Centre. Spontaneously decided to take a stroll at the nearby park after that and discovered that it was linked to SAFRA Yishun, which was somewhat within walking distance from my home! In a decade of living in Yishun, I have never realised that.

Many a time, we need something to shove our routine aside in order to make new discoveries. Realising that I could walk to Yishun Park Hawker Centre instead of relying on bus services is nothing to shout about in the grand scheme of things. Nonetheless, it differentiated today from other run-of-the-mill days, so for that, I’m walking to pick up my kids with a spring in my step and a smile on my face.

So are we. We're hoping the 30% fee is sybil resistance enough and the influence of a zap on ranking being easier to comprehend will encourage more zapping.
