An unlicensed lab was discovered locally in my area and the fear porn it generated was stupid. I pissed off so many people by simply explaining what actually happened and why it posed nearly zero risk to them. Most of them assumed it was a lab creating new virus but it was a lab where they test tests.

The media knew what they were doing. The local government made it worse in how they handled it of course.
