WHAT ARE SATS?
“Sats” are the smallest unit of a bitcoin. Just like a dollar is made up of 100 pennies, a whole bitcoin is made up of 100,000,000 sats.
We use the term "sats" which is short for "satoshis". Sats, or "satoshis", are the smallest denomination of bitcoin. The name is taken from the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Bitcoin (also known as BTC) has been used as digital money since 2009, but it's still a new technology. If you're new to bitcoin, then the Bitcoin Magazine app is a great way to learn and earn your first sats!
