Hey everyone!
I’m trying to update my bitcoind setup, but the Docker image I’ve been using is pretty outdated. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable, well-audited replacement?
I'm currently using this one: https://github.com/lncm/docker-bitcoind, the latest version is v28.0 but on bitcoin core website there is a v28.1
Also, I’m planning to add LND alongside it and I’m on the hunt for a good Docker image. Currently using Wallet of Satoshi, but I want to give Alby Hub a try. What are you all running these days? Thanks for any tips!
Alby Hub do not need any full bitcoin node behind... Just spin up a LND in neutrino mode and you are done. Alby Hub also works by default with LDK. Easy peasy. You can also put a phoenixd behind Alby... Don't complicate things with docker. Keep it simple.
Alternative: you could try https://lightning.pub that is also a LND node in neutrino mode (no bitcoin node sync) and all the communication is through nostr. No need for open ports and use of Tor crap.

Hey, thanks for your reply! I also have a few services depending on bitcoind like electrs and mempool.space, so I’ll need to update it sooner or later.
will look at LND in neutrino mode

you don't need electrs and memepool
