🤚 False. You miss out on trash; the truly important things get relayed to us on Nostr either way.

If privacy is your concern, using Amethyst is very cool because you have the option of deciding how your zaps are sent...

And personally I use minibits to send zaps because it works well with Amethyst and I recieve zaps on ShockWallet.

As a 1st post on SN is a very good question.

1. Learn more about nostr: https://nostrapps.com You have plenty of apps.
2. For nostr is OK to use a custodial or semi-custodial account. But KYC is dumb. We have a plethora of options out there that can be used.

A NWC (nostr wallet connect) one is more reliable and here you have: Rizful, CoinOS, Minibits, ShockWallet, Alby (you have to run your own Hub), cashu.me and many others.

amethyst primarily for mobile,
jumble desktop

I use Damus (android version), Amethyst, and Primal pretty regularly.

I most like how Damus feels, but the Android version still is a little janky.

I use Damus and Nostrudel most of the time. I run my own node with AlbyHub on it.

Jumble + Rizful

Amethyst on Android/Graphine and Nostrudel on desktop. I self host albyhub and use that for NWC wallet connections to all my nostr apps.

Alby Hub (self hosted) with Damus or Primal.

I'm using Amethyst. Having a few issues like when you're reading something and the feed just scrolls ahead. Also some issues with NWC which have been failing a lot recently.
