Great write up. In my personal life I've found that the number of people who want to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange, as opposed to simply an investment vehicle, is a subset of a subset. Even the people who I meet who like bitcoin more often than not only care about the price.

We're an extreme minority here on SN, and I wonder if SNs lack of growth reflects that reality.
