A woman recently went viral for using a window sign during a traffic stop, part of a small trend where drivers display cards asserting their rights instead of speaking to police. The sign correctly cites the right to remain silent, refuse a search, and request a lawyer, but its claims about not handing over a license are legally shaky in most states and can lead to charges for non-compliance.

It is indeed perfect for when you are brainwashed, unknowing how to deal with certain situations responsibly.

charges for non-compliance.
they must prove they have authority first.
But that "I want my lawyer" on the paper is dumb. So no, this woman don't know how to defend properly.

I thought the same, I'd have removed that from the sign. That's what happen when using templates. People learn by making mistakes, even so, this has been working.

yeah, "I want a lawyer" is like saying "I beg for your jurisdiction over me, because I am incompetent to defend myself".
