In my country we have a voucher company that sells gift vouchers on behalf of many small merchants, including chains. I small voucher company might have 200 merchants.
I emailed one of them and asked if they would accept bitcoin. They emailed back and asked for more information, so I sent them a link to Bitpay online payments and explained that bitcoin is widely accepted in Switzerland, South Africa, and Slovenia, and increasingly in the US. I gave a lot of supporting links, and described how our community could offer exposure to these merchants and increased sales volume through their platform, and add all of their merchants to btcmap.org. I also linked to bitrefill.com. These merchants would have no overlap with bitrefill, they are too small and the margins in the voucher business would be tiny.
Has anyone tried this is their own country? Are there risks in not considering enough?

Not really! 200 merchants is not a small number
Why did you shill bitpay and not other solutions? Keep us updated to see what they say in response.
Bookmarked for our next TM7 summary in the ~AGORA, the place where business meet bitcoin and bitcoin meet business - ₿2B :)

I didn't have any experience, so I didn't know that there was a problem with Bitpay, I heard that is what Bitrefill uses.
In fact I just spoke to him over the phone and he's a Bitcoiner! He's going to add bitcoin as a payment method in January, and use Zaprite.

I stopped trying to orange pill a while back. I'm just not a good salesman.
But why not have a go. If you like and use the service it would feel amazing to get them onboard.
