I know you believe in what you are doing, and I know you are partisan, but you must be thinking at this point that rather than this being a "unique strategy", is it possible that Trump is a rudderless lunatic?

I meant the unique strategy comment on the idea of bringing in people from outside the sort of set bureaucratic individuals that we see used time and time again for negotiations. It is my understanding what Trumps view change on Ukraine boils down to the First Lady who has become a huge supporter and pushed him to crack down on Russia. That is why we have seen the whole shift in strategy that we are not directly giving Ukraine things but we are giving it to NATO allies who are then handing it over to Ukraine. Its an attempt to at least not be directly linked to funneling the war (I dont agree with this at all for what its worth I think Ukraine should get Tomahawks but I am in a very small minority with that.)
I feel it is important to note that I have no urge or want to ever meet Trump. Like you stated he is definitely rudderless in some areas and Ukraine is the crystal clear example of this. The comments about Witkoff almost seem to me as a way for him to replace him and send someone else in.
I was hightly suspicious of Witkoff so hearing this type of stuff just shows how he was a terrible choice. I'm amazed Witkoff was able to do what he was able to do in Israel.
