I agree with your numbered points - yes, establishment medicine is often just plain fraud.
But I'd say that before going carnivore I was for sure exposed to a large amount of vegan/vegetarian info. It's pretty mainstream nowadays.
And that's where I got all my ideas from (fruits and veggies are great, the more the better, whole grains are great, legumes are healthier than meat). I did eat animal products, but tried hard to limit them, especially beef.
Maybe it's true that I'm not giving the vegan diet a fair chance. I'd be curious to know if there's loads of positive "carnivore to vegan" accounts, like there are in the other direction.
I don’t know what the conversion rate is from various diets. That’s just not something I’ve ever paid attention to.
As to plant-based diets receiving good press, that’s somewhat true but the almost universal response people get from their doctors is negative and actual irl social approval is very low. Pretty much everyone find vegans annoying.
Pretty much everyone find vegans annoying.
I think that if we look at vegan more like a dietary choice and less like a tribe of people as in vegans, then there is a lot less trouble suddenly because we don't start to assign acts of one person to another simply because they share a diet.
I increasingly have this thought that tribalism is the main (genetic?) characteristic that is inhibiting true greatness for humanity as a whole. Not saying we should get rid of it, but it helps to ignore those feelings sometimes.
I agree with the broad point but vegans are individually annoying because so much of our social lives revolves around sharing food.
I have no problem with that position but I will suggest that you aren’t getting the most charitable accounts by only listening to carnivore sources on veganism.
Neither diet gets a fair hearing from the medical establishment for a few reasons that I know you’re familiar with.
