This article explains why current email protocols are fundamentally outdated and how Nostr could replace email, by keeping what works and discarding what doesn’t.
To be honest, at my current employer (who shall remain nameless) and what I hear from other IT people, email is kinda dying breed. Yes, it's there but instant messaging has taken over my work place. We use slack and I start seeing the patter here.
So, IMHO, no it won't get fixed, it will die of natural causes.
