I'm an shitcoiner-turned-bitcoiner earlier this year. I got into "crypto" by diving into Ethereum first in 2017, have built plenty of smart contracts, some of which are popular, and have worked with a countless number of shitcoin projects. I work in the space, though not for a Bitcoin-only company, but it's alright since the pay is very good and it allows me to buy more corn and secure my family's future.
What got me into Bitcoin was questioning why these Bitcoin-maximilists were so convicted when it comes to Bitcoin. Why? My Ethereum influencer-overlords told me over and over that Bitcoin is pet rock, doesn't do anything, no one is building on it, etc. Can't they see all the "innovation" happening on Ethereum? I like to approach things with a "What if they're right?" attitude, so I made a new nym, followed a bunch of BTC-maxis, watched their videos, read their books and articles, listened to their podcasts. The more I absorbed the more I understood why.
Now I spend pretty much all my free online-time on this handle and continue to absorb info related to Bitcoin and economics. I've started orange-pilling family (it never felt right to try to get them to buy ETH or other shitcoins, glad I never did), and working through my reading list every night.

(Intro threads are also a good reason not to give away too many sats: make an intro and people will give you sats. Make quality comments with your newly-given sats, and you'll earn more. Simple)
Can you talk about what convinced you to become more of a Bitcoin maximalist?

This post is what started the process. I'll always be thankful for S&D for being such a toxic maximalist. After that is when I made this nym and started following maxis, core development, LN development, etc. Turns out "nothing is being built on Bitcoin" is false!
Reading The Bitcoin Standard, Gradually Then Suddenly, Layered Money, and The Bullish Case for Bitcoin is what solidified everything to give me conviction to convert everything to BTC. Now I'm reading to expand my own knowledge because Bitcoin rewards those who understand economics and philosophy.
Long-term, finding a path for Ethereum developers to understand Bitcoin, absolute scarcity, hard money, and technology layers will be a great onboarding ramp for devs that are already interested in crypto, but need that one push to make sense as to why only Bitcoin matters.

I wouldn't have guessed you used to be a full-blooded Etherean but it's how a lot of us started out. Pleasure to learn more about you @ugmug!
