It feels like Ordinals just popped up out of nowhere the other week.
I've not done much research on them, but from what I can tell, it looks like a fool's errand.
I don't understand how an inscribed sat could be worth more than a sat, unless I'm missing something?
We don't know how they'll evolve. As of now, the miners like them, and it's bringing significant attention to bitcoin. The Ordinal outrage is mostly an adage promoted on Twitter Spaces by newer bitcoiners with self-disclosed political affiliations who would like to see bitcoin's total addressable market remain bitcoin Twitter. Every other tweet of theirs are conspiracy related.

If Bitcoin nodes are the strongest ledger of record we have. Why wouldn't data inscribed on that ledger be valuable?
