I think they know that they can't just keep firing head coaches every year, especially coaches as universally respected as Pete.
How many more years is Pete going to coach anyways? They are going to need to replace him in a couple years anyways so if you aren’t happy with him might as well get rid of him now.
That's part of my thinking. Just bite the bullet and ride out a couple more years.
I think that makes sense. I think most people sharing opinions that he’s done are just being extra to get attention. 1 year is not a long leash for a known good coach

Extremely dysfunctional. You can't bring out the worst in every coach and QB without a lot of organizational chaos.
