Good question. People posting about their LN node "performance" usually avoid to say how much they paid in fees to maintain those channels, or they even donn't even know how to follow up that.
When they say "passive income" they do not say also the "active spending on fees". If you run a public routing node, you MUST make your own math to be efficient. But many clueless users do not think about this, they only have in mind the bullshit "passive income"...
