You're making me think of a potential bitcoin mod for Civilization.
Once Bitcoin is researched, all energy producing infrastructure also produces money, but it would be scaled and capped globally, with a similar halving rate dynamic.
It’d be cool to make it an age, The Bitcoin Age, or it could almost become its own win condition haha, where you need you complete :
- buy x amount of bitcoin
- own or be in alliance with most of the world
- build x bitcoin mining places, learning centers, other infrastructure etc,
You win thru hyperbitcoinization!
I haven't played Civ VII yet, but the idea of it being a new age with fundamentally different mechanics is really cool.
It can be integrated into Open Tycoon Transport https://www.openttd.org
