The surreal feeling of major geopolitical events unfolding in real time, it's like watching history happen but your brain can't quite process it as "real" yet.
It feels almost cinematic, one day it's news stories on Maduro for drug trafficking, the next it's delta force storming his bedroom
But why there, and not in places like Russia Ukraine? But why there, and not in places like Russia Ukraine?
Their war has dragged on for years with massive destruction, yet delta force havent stormed Putin's bedroom, probably because Russia has the red button, making even Trump think twice
I guess no one wants a world war with Russia, which actually makes me think,
so nuclear deterrents work then
Venezuela, though? It's in Trump's backyard and just happens to hold the largest oil reserves in the world [cough]
The fourth turning bros will say this is to be expected and to expect more of it
Whatever happens next, it will definitely feel different to growing up in my era in the 80s
Which is probably why this feels so surreal because nothing ever happened back then
That's because it is, theater for public consumption... the outcome is largely decided years before we ever get a whiff of things.

Russia isn't a US problem, we want stability with Russia... operators need to drag people out of palaces in Western Europe, not Eastern.
We haven't finished the job since 1776 & 1812.

I'd say stability with Russia is in the benefit of the people but the agitation that has been applied for decades benefited a select few including the military industrial complex and many in positions of power.
Key word. Not all, or even most.
Lost in all this is the regime change that happened in the US, this isn't geopolitical business as usual.

Overton Window / foreshadowing / soft-disclosure
Also the Iran bombing was literally the subject of Top Gun 2
It's all scripted and they hand out advanced copies to make it digestible

Its wild how often this happens.
It's entirely rational
What's wild is how many people refuse to acknowledge the reality of how the world functions
Indeed, the most wild thing.
I think it is important to note that Russia has attempted to take out Zelenskyy with teams several times and each time they failed. With Russia as well its not only the US and West in general would be concerned about Putin hitting the big red button but its a collapsed state of that size with nuclear missiles would be pretty terrifying.
The force required to secure the nuclear and biological site would be huge and so it prevents it from happening.
No they haven't, he's an improv comedian, it's all theater
Welcome to history. Gunboat diplomacy has been alive and well since the beginning of the 20th century.
Which century?
