I do a 72 hour every January. A lot of people go their whole lives without experiencing real hunger. I think it's a grounding experience and helps me focus on gratitude that I have access to healthy delicious food everyday among other things. Also there are real physical health benefits I think.

Yes, in my understanding plenty of benefits.

I also see it that we in the west over consume anyhow.

Our ancestors fasted out of necessity, our bodies can handle this.
