I don't actually hate the Pats, but we still owe them some sort of playoff misfortune because of the Tuck Rule. Once justice is served, I'll go back to being indifferent towards them.

I don't hate the Pats either but it is mildly annoying that they were great for two decades and only had a few years of sucking before being good again.

Your team has been pretty consistently good since the early 1980's. Only the Steelers and Pats have been better.

The 49ers were pretty darn bad for 8 straight seasons between 2003-2010. They only had one .500 year and that year was 8-8. Things got better in the early 2010s for a few years when Harbaugh took over and then took a dip again for a few years until Shanahan took over. That stretch in the 2000s was pretty bleak. 46-82 during those years.

Those were mostly the years I had tuned out of football. No wonder I have the impression of non-stop good teams.

To be fair, I wasn't paying much attention at that time either other than knowing the 49ers weren't very good anymore. I probably only watched a couple games 49ers games a year back then. They were rarely on TV because they sucked. Haha
