not just that... but you get back sats in rewards.
The SN flaw that will never be recognized publicly.
Let the losers use their "attached wallets" for meaningless pistols and horses...
So be wise: boosting a post with CCs have the same result as boosting with sats.
Let them boost (waste) sats...

How can we eliminate the rewards pool and just have it pay for devs or something?

As I mentioned above in that old post requesting to remove totally the rewards... SN devs will NEVER do that. Question yourself why...
