With so many new nostr users jumping to use WoS (like it is the only LN wallet out there), no wonder they have technical issues. Is a custodial service that wasn't designed to have so many new users at once.

Yep, have definitely heard there are a few times the nostriches have crashed WoS. They have been working to handle this, as well as adding NIP 57 support.
