Hello, thank you very much.
I understand, so I linked a receiving portfolio, which is why I get a horse, but I don't have the gun. However, both must be different, right, so as not to combine expenses with receiving?
As I understand it, that's right, isn't it?
Thank you very much for your valuable response.
I use the same wallet, coinos, to both send and receive the sats.
Pretty sure that yes you can attach different wallets, one to send (gun) and one to receive (horse) but I have never done it.
Depending on what wallet/s you use there are some good guides on here on how to get them attached- just use the search function on the top left of the page to search for the appropriate guide for your wallet/s.
For example a guide to attaching coinos wallet for both sending and receiving sats on Stacker News is-
I understand, I'll take a look at the tutorial to make sure I have both.
Although the wallet I set up and found easiest to use was called Wallet of Satoshi, which I configured for receiving, now I need one for sending and the gun icon appears.
Welcome
If you can attach a spending wallet you can send sats as well as receive them.
This is fundamental to the intent of SNs which is to enable a V4V P2P BTC/LN sats based social network.
By using sats more than CCs we strengthen the BTC/LN and the wallets that support them.
CCs were only ever introduced to avoid regulatory threats from government who could allege money transmission - CCs were intended only for those unable to attach wallets - as you have already attached a receiving wallet hopefully you can soon also attach a spending wallet and fully engage in the V4V P2P sats denominated nature of the community.
The need to spend sats (or CCs) to post, comment and zap other posts and comments is the V4V function.
If you like a post or comment you can show your appreciation of its value by zapping it...preferably with sats, but you need an attached spending wallet for that. If you lack a spending wallet you can only send CCs which are in house tokens used as an equivalent to sats.
If you have attached a spending wallet it is shown next to your name as a gun.
An attached receiving wallet is shown as a horse.
Best to get both!
Posts that are zapped a lot go up in listing order and those who posted them receive sats (and CCs) for their work.
It encourages worthwhile contributions and minimised time wasting trolls and spam.
All contributions cost at least 1 sat/CC.
