wrong. Telegram is just fine. People are stupid. Scams will always exist and will find other ways to get to losers.

This is the same as saying bitcoin is used by criminals.
Scammers also use underwear. We should not use underwear anymore?
telegram does a horrible job of identity. they simultaneously make it look like identity is solid and yet make it trivial to fake.
If telegram made everyone function as an anon, people would be forced to evaluate a user based on what they said.
there are some places where it is easier to scam someone than others. companies don't have to use the worst ones.
wrong again. telegram have a simple unique userID that anybody can verify it.
But users are dumb and don't know how to use it.
Scammers will always scam weak people, no matter what complex scheme they will use. If a user wasn't capable to protect himself with the tolls telegram put in place, they will be scammed with any other apps. Because they are dumb.
I am one such dumb user who did not know this.
I still see a difference in ease of scammyness between some communication channels and others. But perhaps the best solution is a platform that only lets users have the name "scammer" so that everyone is always reminded that they could be interacting with a scammer. We could call it scammergram.

That doesn't mean the platform is not OK. People are not OK.
And that applies also to BTC apps.
