It fits well because you don't get paid based on your merits like with zaps; it's a distribution between legit users and bullshiters, rewarding the second group. The change in lit might improve this by leaving the slop far behind the good stuff, but the incentive seems to be to just add a lot of filler to get a slice of the pie.
