“Could that be that Lego set I have been waiting for?” I exclaimed when I saw a parcel outside my door. My father checked the label and nodded his head winsomely. I instantly squealed with delight, punching my fist in the air. An avid fan of dinosaurs, I could not wait to start building the Lego triceratops!
pull down to refresh
It's so deep that my first memory of my father and my brother is a moment when the three of us were sitting in the living room on the carpet, building this huge Lego plane, I remember it being blue and white and inside it had all the seats you could need. The most of the work was done by my father because my brother and I were very young. I don't know where that plane ended up... sooner or later I'll buy it back
Woah what a precious memory! Now I am not like your dad because I don’t have the patience for Lego. Thank goodness my son can assemble everything without my help hah
Recently got this for myself!
I am glad to see they didn't forget about Spot the cat.
Tasha Yar was done dirty tho
She and Q are off doing their on thing.
I also have no idea what Wesley is holding. I assume it's from an episode, but I can't remember what that is.
I loved lego growing up. It taps into a young male's soul. At some point it got boring, too formulaic.
I haven't checked but I hope they've added less deterministic lego sets. Something that tells you the goal, and gives you all the pieces, but there are many paths from A to B.
I’m afraid to tell you that things have gone way down south! The sets come with manuals that dictate how the blocks must be assembled in one particular way. My son has assembled lion dance Lego sets, Minecraft sets, now dinosaur sets. After he has finished assembling, he leaves them to languish at some corner of the house. No motivation to take them apart and reassemble
I do kind of wish they would make more of the Jurassic Park sets because they are really cool. (unfortunately, my boys don't seem to be attracted to those as much as the ninjago sets).
Lego is really fascinating. They were in a bit of a slump in the early 2000s I think, but they managed to turn it around and are doing pretty well these days.
Do your boys own the Lego passport? Mine does — and we spend every weekend visiting a store to get a Lego stamp exclusive to that store. A tad boring for me, but it has been nice witnessing him go all out to gather the stamps from various stores!
betraying my Scandi heritage here but... not very. I like it, played with it a lot but def don't have any deep nostalgic OMG-everything-Lego
I don't know but it is in there pretty deep
My son has a bunch of super Mario Lego sets and my daughter has some frozen and Lego friends sets. Always fun to build Lego with them.
