Is true, you can't achieve freedom (or at least maintain it) without sacrifices in your life.
We will always have a choice, no matter in what system we live (are all the same crap state anyways), the choice between going forward to a better free life or a stagnation where nothing happen and we will just vote every fucking few years for something that really doesn't matter and that keeps us enslaved.

Your journey is inspiring and a reference for me on my own path, because you didn't sacrifice all of that for more fiat gains; you sacrificed it for freedom, and because freedom demands responsibility for your actions and choices, where sacrifice is part of the way and not the consequence. The path is personal and it isn't easy.
Luthen's speech is like many things I read at the beginning and now understand better, and for me, it's rewarding to see that I'm learning more, using the knowledge of veteran adventurers to step on the right stones or those that seem safer—you are one of them.
