I agree that there are many different platforms where bitcoiners discuss things. I don't agree that SN could easily attract all those bitcoiners.
To some extent these platforms are like homes that the people who've been there for a long time have built. I doubt they will ever move on.
I'm thinking of people who have legendary status on Bitcointalk or r/Bitcoin people with a lot of karma. I suspect the value to those people is that they have figured out a comfortable place on the platform. Why would they want to come be a newbie somewhere?
This is one reason I'm very interested to see how SN's experiment with no-trust shapes up: there aren't any users who have better visibility or more power than others.
This should mean that SN really is a level plating field for bitcoiners who want to come Jere and say something. Which is unique in the world of Bitcoin social platforms.
I would like to figure out how to attract more people interested in posting interesting things about Bitcoin on a daily basis. Do you have any thoughts about how SN could do this?
The problem - too many different platforms where bitcoiners discuss things: stackexchange, reddit, bitcointalk, delvingbitcoin, twitter etc
All these are old and clanky. SN could easily take all their users and bring them here.
But do not promote it as "come to earn sats". That attract only shitcoiners and idiots.
SN must be the morning dashboard for every bitcoiner. Not noise.
