Would like to know what I am up against here- it could be effectively a censorship operation run by SNs as well as a funding mechanism for SNs.
That would be the ultimate hypocrisy and abuse of CCs and peoples trust in the platform.
If the downzapper is using real money (sats) then I'm fine with it- its a V4V Pay2Post contest of ideas on a level playing field.
If however it is someone within SNs and or with access to the CC printer then its not.

100% of downzaps go to the reward pool. Those are paid out as sats to stackers every day. If SN was using a "CC printer" to do downzaps, where would the real sats SN pays out every day come from?
If you don't like how SN is run, the code is open source. Why not start your own version of SN on a different domain? Or, do you find it too difficult to run the lightning node and infrastructure?

From my sats that they are downzapping with CCs.
By downzapping my post with CCs...and my response to that downzapping.
That makes no sense.
If you are boosting your post, most of that is going to the territory owners. So if you made a post in ~Politics_And_Law, siggy gets 70% of your boost sats.
I don't see how you boosting your post gives sats to SN.
Further, let's pretend I downzap your post with CCs. 100% of those CCs go to the reward pool and then are paid out to stackers as rewards at the end of the day. Where do the real sats stackers get come from? We already determined that your boost sats are going to the territory owner.
30% of my boost goes to SNs.
The CCs cost SN nothing.
The majority of sats credited to territory owners as rewards are not taken out of SNs but are used to pay territory rents or used to post, boost or comment.
It would be a classic fiat exercise in monetary stimulus, leveraged off my incoming real money sats.
So just to be clear @Scoresby you are not using CCs to downzap my post?

But, now instead of accusing SN of "printing CCs" you are claiming that the sats you pay to boost your post go to territory owners and SN gets real sats from territory owners paying for territories and then someone at SN is downzapping you with these real sats.
It would be helpful if you stuck to one accusation at a time.
I was trying to point out that CCs used to downzap get paid out as sats. So, it would cost SN just as much to downzap you one CC as it does to downzap you one sat.
But there is an easy solution, even if you don't believe me: stop spending sats here.
That doesn't matter, In SN 1 cc = 1 sat.
I get why people don't trust whoever's running the printer. It’s not just here. I trust SN. Some stackers already know who’s downzapping the war posts, but I’m not the one who’s gonna out them to you.

I find it interesting how someone seems so determined the prevent any discussion of The Greater Israel Project- I dont even know how much of a thing TGIP really is (it seems pretty far out) but the determined downzapping makes me wonder there maybe is something to it!

He knows, but the other stackers are in the dark. Doesn't matter anyway, because those downzaps go straight to the daily rewards. At the end of the day, even if they're CCs, they're getting flipped into sats!
